MBIE has advised that people can move homes during Alert Level 3 (including travel between regions). You will need to make arrangements to ensure that you can shift safely. However we recommend that before finalising your settlement date, you should ensure that you are able to book in a furniture removal company or other suitable means of transportation, if you need either of those, as there will be some pressure on those services over this time.

Proper physical distancing and public health measures are still required to be observed, so any property settlement and shift will need to be carried out in accordance with the government’s guidance. This will include matters such as conducting a pre-settlement inspection of the property, having a real estate agent coming into the home, handover of keys etc.

We recommend that you consult with us if you are in any doubt before making any decisions.
